Sublevel Seven is a custom software company specializing in the design, implementation and management of websites, mobile applications and desktop software. We are dedicated to making sure that you don't just get the software you ask for, but more importantly the software that you need. By working rigorously with our clients to ensure the proposed design will perfectly meet their needs before we start working, we can get their custom software delivered to them on-time, and get it right the first time.
The World Wide Web has exploded over the past decade into a myriad of technologies, each of which with it's own benefits as well as it's own drawbacks. Whether it's PHP, Python, Django or our own in-house framework called Omnio, Sublevel Seven has the expertise necessary to choose the right technology for your website.
Choosing the right technology is important, but it's just the first step. Our graphic designers will make sure that the front-end of your website
looks as good as the back-end
works. Our expertise with HTML, CSS and Javascript will ensure that your website works just as well in non-compliant browsers like Internet Explorer as it does in Firefox and Safari.
Mobile devices are steadily becoming ubiquitous and it seems likely that as laptops supplanted bulky desktop PCs, so too will smartphones replace our laptops. With this in mind we have made mobile application development one of our primary focuses. Our preferred development platforms include:
- Java ME. Most modern cell phones (Apple's iPhone, of course, being the exception) natively support J2ME applications, making this one of the most widely used mobile application development languages.
- iPhone OS. The instant success of the iPhone makes it an attractive target for consumer oriented mobile device applications.
- Palm OS 4.x and PalmOS 5.x. Many legacy devices still run the Palm OS operating system. Palm Inc. is attempting to maintain their competitiveness in the market with their new Palm webOS, but with so many new players in the market, especially Google, it's not likely that they will succeed.
With the growth of the Internet, it's easy to overlook the usefuleness of desktop applications. We have extensive experience developing both internal business applications as well as high profile consumer applications. Our areas of expertise include:
- Digital media manipulation including MP3, OGG, AAC, WAV, APE, FLAC and MAC files using our own custom audio editing source code library.
- TCP/IP based client/server and peer-to-peer networks.
- Real-time modeling and data visualization with OpenGL and DirectX.
Software is everywhere today and we can make sure your custom hardware has the most reliable software available. We can even work with your engineers to help them select the best components for the job. In the past we've worked on various PIC microcontrollers and the Hitachi SuperH series of RISC processors.
